IIT (BHU), Varanasi and CSIR-Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute, Kolkata have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance collaborative research in ceramics and allied technologies.

This collaboration will focus on a wide range of research domains including glass and glass-ceramics, energy materials, electronic ceramics, high-temperature refractories, biomaterials, sensors, and thin-film technologies. The agreement also includes opportunities for joint R&D projects, exchange of scientific resources, and research-based internships for B Tech, M Tech, and PhD students of IIT (BHU) under the mentorship of CSIR–CGCRI experts.

The partnership represents a step towards leveraging the strengths of both institutions to drive innovation, train the next generation of researchers, and contribute meaningfully to India’s scientific and technological advancement.
