Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai is partnering with Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) Nord Europe to boost cross-border collaboration in science, technology and higher education. The two institutions recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will promote joint research projects, faculty and student exchanges, and dual-degree programmes. This agreement will allow undergraduate and postgraduate students from IIT Bhilai to pursue part of their studies in France.
The collaboration will focus on several important areas such as Mechanical Engineering, Polymer and Composite Materials, Mechatronics, and Artificial Intelligence-integrated Computer Science building on the academic strengths and innovation potential of both institutions.
According to Professor Rajiv Prakash, Director, IIT Bhilai, the partnership is “a forward-looking initiative that will catalyse international academic integration, foster impactful research, and prepare students for global careers.” The agreement also aims to enhance the educational, scientific and cultural ties between India and France.
